Officer concerned: FPC Bhupinder Jit Singh
Dates of hearing: 13 to 15 July 2026
FPC Singh, previously based at West Area Command Unit answered the following allegations:
(1) It is alleged that in October 2023 FPC Singh asked for annual leave and when this was rejected, he stated that he required the time off for a medical appointment, it is alleged that this was a dishonest request.
(2) It is alleged that FPC Singh borrowed and/or attempted to borrow money from several colleagues under false pretences between 1 August 2022 and 31 November 2023.
(3) It is alleged that on 14 January 2023 FPC Singh accessed MPS indices without a lawful or policing purpose.
However, on day 1, after an unsuccessful hearsay application, allegations 1 and 2 were withdrawn by the AA.
The panel, chaired by Commander Andy Brittain, determined that allegation 3 was proven at the level of Gross Misconduct and that the Standards of Professional Behaviour had been breached, in respect of 'Discreditable Conduct' and 'Confidentiality'.
FPC Singh would have been dismissed, had he still been a serving officer and he will be placed on the college of policing barred list.
