Officer concerned: Officer X
Dates of hearing: 7 August 2026
The brief circumstances of this case are that between 4 and 9 April 2025, Officer X used the Kik Messenger platform to engage in communications of a sexual nature with a 16-year-old child. The Officer sent an explicit image of himself to the child and received an indecent image of the child. In doing so, it is alleged that Officer X has breached the Standards of Behaviour in respect of:
Officer X was not in attendance for these proceedings. The Officer was represented by their Federation Representative.
The Chair, Former Commander Lilburn, found the allegations proven and that Officer X had breached the Standards of Professional Behaviour at the level of Gross Misconduct.
Officer X was dismissed without notice and will be placed on the College of Policing barred list.
