Summary

It was alleged that DC Daniel Nunnery failed to diligently supervise an investigation conducted by a Detective Constable and thereby caused unnecessary delay in the identification and apprehension of a suspect that posed risk to children.

It was alleged that DI Gemma Cole failed to diligently supervise a Detective Constable and DC Nunnery and thereby caused unnecessary delay in the identification and apprehension of a suspect that posed risk to children.

In doing so it was alleged the behaviour of DC Nunnery and DI Cole did not meet the standards required by the Standards of Professional Behaviour set out in Schedule 2 to the Police (Conduct) Regulations 2020 as to Duties and Responsibilities.

Decision

The panel found the allegations against both officers not proven.
