Former Police Sergeant Sanjar Sefer P205415, previously based at PSU Taskforce and Public Order Planning, will answer allegations that his conduct amounts to a breach of Standards of Professional Behaviour, in respect of:
- Discreditable Conduct
- Equality & Diversity
- Authority, Respect & Courtesy
It is alleged that on 23 December 2023, FPS Sanjar Sefer, whilst on duty, engaged in harassing behaviour towards a colleague Officer A, which was unwanted and/or was of a sexual nature and/or which related to her sex and/or age (protected characteristics under the Equality Act 2010). This included disparaging and misogynistic remarks about her appearance, attempted intimidation through comments about physical strength which had the effect of belittling and humiliating Officer A.
It is also alleged that between about 12 and 17 December 2024 FPS Sefer engaged in harassing behaviour towards another colleague, Officer B, which was excessive and overbearing, unwanted and/or was of a sexual nature and/or which related to her being female (a protected characteristic under the Equality Act 2010).
It is further alleged that on 17 December 2024 FPS Sefer engaged in behaviour amounting to sexual harassment of Officer B, in that he subjected her to unwanted conduct of a sexual nature.
It is further alleged that his conduct, if proven, amounts to gross misconduct and is so serious as to justify their entry on to the College of Policing barred list.
The identity of victims/witnesses will be protected during the hearing as appropriate.
