Detective Constable Frankie McCann based at Central North Command Unit, will answer allegations that his conduct amounts to a breach of Standards of professional Behaviour, in respect of:
- Duties & Responsibilities
It is alleged that on the on 1st November 2025 DC Frankie McCann failed to discharge his duties and responsibilities diligently, in that he:
i. Failed to report for duty at 7am as required;
ii. Was unfit for duty at 7am;
iii. Failed to inform supervising officers/others that he was going to be absent from his shift;
iv. Failed to ensure that he was fit for duty;
v. Failed to inform a supervising officer that he was or may be unfit for duty due to alcohol consumption the night before;
vi. Reported for duty with a Supervising Officer and two Detective Constables, when he knew, or should have known, he may be unfit to do so.
It is alleged that in acting this way DC McCann breached the Standards of Professional Behaviour in respect of 'Duties & Responsibilities'.
It is further alleged that his conduct, if proven, amounts individually or collectively to gross misconduct and is so serious as to justify dismissal.
If you wish to apply to attend the hearing you must book no later than 1pm the previous working day. This is to allow for sufficient time to process the application. Any requests received after this time will be unable to be processed in time for the hearing and therefore will be rejected.
The identity of victims and witnesses will be protected during the hearing as appropriate.
