It is alleged that, whilst serving as a police officer, on more than one occasion, Officer A received sexual services as part of, or in addition to, paid massage treatments. By doing so he engaged the services of a Sex Worker.

Officer A’s conduct was contrary to the standards expected of a police officer and incompatible with the responsibilities and obligations of your office, irrespective of the precise implementation date of the relevant guidance.

It is further alleged that, on at least one occasion, namely 20 June 2023, Officer A’s conduct was contrary to the NPCC Sex Worker National Police Guidance published in June 2023.

This conduct is in clear contravention of the MPS Guidance on the Use of Sex Workers and Sexual Services by Officers and the NPCC Sex Worker National Police Guidance, which states that officers should not engage in any activity involving the provision of commercial sexual services that may expose them to an increased risk of corruption by virtue of blackmail.

Officer A will answer allegations that his conduct amounts to a breach of the Standards of Professional Behaviour in respect of:

• Honesty and Integrity;
• Orders and Instructions; and
• Discreditable Conduct.

In acting in the way alleged, Officer A has breached the Standards of Professional Behaviour and this conduct, if proven, amounts to gross misconduct in that it is so serious as to justify dismissal.

The identity of victims and witnesses will be protected during the hearing as appropriate.
