PC Clare Tett will answer allegations that their conduct amounted to breaches of the Standards of Professional Behaviour, in respect of:
• Confidentiality
• Orders & Instructions
• Discreditable Conduct
• Honesty & Integrity
On 10th March 2021, Police Constable Clare Tett used NSPIS to access or attempt to access, amongst other things, Olena Couzens’ custody record and Wayne Couzens’ custody record. In addition she used the Integrated Information Portal (IIP) to access or attempt to access, amongst others things, CRIS 1205390/21 relating to the disappearance of Sarah Everard.
These were not undertaken in the course of her duties and she had no proper policing purpose to do so.
Furthermore, the explanation given during the course of the misconduct investigation (in writing on or about 14th April 2021 and/or 11th November 2022) was untrue.
The matters set out above are alleged to amount to Gross Misconduct in that it is so serious as to justify dismissal.
The identity of victims/witnesses may be protected during the hearing as appropriate.
