On 31 January 2023 at Simmons Bar in the City of London, the Officer whilst off-duty was in attendance at a private leaving party for a colleague. Without warning or invitation, the Officer grabbed his colleague Person A by the neck / throat area. Person A did not consent to this physical contact and was both shocked and upset by the Officer's conduct. The conduct was unwelcome and unwarranted.
The matters set out above (individually and / or collectively) if proven, are said to amount to gross misconduct, in that they are so serious as to justify dismissal.
