Misconduct hearing for PC Shayan Laskar

PC Shayan Laskar faces the following allegations for breaches of the standard of Discreditable Conduct:
1. Between 25 to 28 June 2024, it is alleged that while on duty PC Laskar:
i. Pressed his groin area up against a colleague’s buttocks.
ii. Asked the same colleague out on a date.
iii. Threw a paper aeroplane with his mobile number on at her.
iv. Made inappropriate comments about her hairstyle.
2. On 3 July 2024, it is alleged that while off duty PC Laskar:
i. Said to a colleague word to the effect of “hair pulling, that’s what you’re into”, before pulling her hair and saying, “did you like that?”
ii. Inappropriately asked to see a colleague’s skirt, looked under the table at her legs, then said words to the effect of “I didn’t see your skirt, I was too distracted”
iii. Said to a colleague word to the effect of “are you holding your boobs to stop the falling out?” and “well they look nice, just let them”.
3. On 3 July 2024, it is alleged that while off duty PC Laskar:
i. Inappropriately touched a colleague waist and made comments about how old she looks in her ID.
ii. Made inappropriate comments to a colleague about her having “nice tits” and that she would be pretty if she lost some weight.
iii. Inappropriately touched a colleague on several occasions.
4. On 9 July 2024, it is alleged that while on duty PC Laskar:
i. Kissed a colleague on the cheek after she specifically stated that she did not want to be kissed.
By reason of the matters set out above, either individually or collectively, it is alleged PC Shayan Laskar’s behaviour did not meet the standards required by the Standards of Professional Behaviour set out in Schedule 2 to the Police (Conduct) Regulations 2020 as to Discreditable Conduct in that he sexually harassed his colleagues, discrediting the police service and/or
undermining the public confidence in it.
The identity of victims/witnesses will be protected during the hearing as appropriate., If you wish to apply to attend the hearing you must book no later than 1pm the previous working day. This is to allow for sufficient time to process the application. Any requests received after this time will be
unable to be processed in time for the hearing and therefore will be rejected
