Police Constable Ugar Sumbul, based within Royalty & Specialist Protection, will answer allegations that his conduct amounted to a breach of the Standards of Professional Behaviour in respect of:
* Discreditable Conduct
It is alleged that PC Sumbul intentionally touched a female colleague, that the touching was sexual, and the colleague did not consent to the touching.
The matter and conduct set out above is said to amount to gross misconduct, namely a breach of the standards of professional behaviour that, if proved, are so serious as to justify dismissal.
The identity of victims and witnesses will be protected during the hearing as appropriate.
If you wish to apply to attend the hearing you must book no later than 1pm the previous working day. This is to allow for sufficient time to process the application. Any requests received after this time will be unable to be processed in time for the hearing and therefore will be rejected.
