Name of the officer concerned: PC Leah Bishop
Date: 28 to 30 July 2026
Time: 9:30am
Location: Misconduct Hearings Unit, Palestra House, 197 Blackfriars Road, London, SE1 8NJ
It is alleged that PC Bishop failed to declare that she had submitted false information in medical vetting forms which had been submitted as part of PC Bishop's application to join the Metropolitan Police Service in August 2022. It is also alleged that, in May 2023, PC Bishop admitted to other officers that the medical vetting forms that had been submitted as part of her application to join the Metropolitan Police Service had been altered, and that PC Bishop knew this at the time of the application.
Through acting this way, it is alleged that PC Bishop was dishonest and demonstrated a lack of integrity to the Metropolitan Police Service. Therefore, if proven, PC Bishop breached the Standard of Professional Behaviour and that this conduct, if proven, amounts to gross misconduct in that it is so serious as to justify dismissal.
The identity of victims and witnesses will be protected during the hearing as appropriate.
If you wish to apply to attend the hearing you must book no later than 1pm the previous working day. This is to allow for sufficient time to process the application. Any requests received after this time will be unable to be processed in time for the hearing and therefore will be rejected.
Please ensure that you have read the conditions of entry prior to booking.
