Q1 - What is your current policy regarding the publication of details for upcoming police misconduct hearings.
There is no policy. This is set out in the Police Conduct Regulations 2020 as amended in 2024/25 Government | The Police (Conduct) Regulations 2020
Q1a - Specifically, when are these details made available on your website.
As soon as practicable once the Chair has made the decision to publish and agreed the content of said publication (Regulations)
Q1b - How long are they retained and publicly accessible prior to the hearing.
They remain online up to the hearing concluding, so that the public have the opportunity to attend the proceedings
Q2 - Following the conclusion of a misconduct hearing.
Q2a - When is the outcome published on your website.
Upon the decision of the chair as soon as practicable. Police Conduct Regulations 2020.
Q2b - How long is the outcome retained in a publicly accessible format.
The publication is required to remain live for 28 days (Police Conduct Regulations) however we publish for three months.
Q2c - What are the reasons and criteria for withdrawing this information from public view.
We are limited to three months due to data restrictions on the national platform.
