I have today decided to disclose the located information to you in full. Please find below information pursuant to your request above.
Q1 - The number of people currently being monitored by the Fixated Threat Assessment Centre (FTAC).
Please note that FTAC does not actively monitor individuals. However, as of 16 September 2025 there were 107 open cases.
Q1a - A breakdown of whether they are severe threat, moderate threat, or low threat.
These cases were initially assessed when first opened and this initial assessment can be broken down as follows:
High - 1
Moderate - 83
Low - 23
Q2 - How many people have been referred between 01 January 2024 and the most recent date available this year.
This data is stored between two IT systems, one used prior to 08 July 2024 and a new system which replaces it.
It is not possible to accurately recall the number of individuals referred, but not taken on by FTAC. However, we can advise that 402 referrals were taken on by FTAC between 01 January 2024 and 08 July 2024.
We can accurately report that 1875 individuals were referred to FTAC between 08 July 2024 and 12 September 2025.
Therefore, between the period 01 January 2024 and 12 September 2025, at least 2119 people were referred to FTAC. Please note that this figure was derived by cross-referencing names to exclude repeat referrals on both systems for the same individuals.
In addition, it is important to note that referrals do not necessarily lead to an individual being taken on by FTAC.
Q2a - A breakdown of whether they are severe threat, moderate threat, or low threat.
High - 20
Moderate - 692
Low - 261
These figures are based on the referrals that have been taken on by FTAC covering the period 01 January 2024 to 12 September 2025.
Q3 - If the cost has not been met, the number of people have been referred to the FTAC since its inception.
The number of individuals who have been referred to FTAC since 2012 is 12,538.
