In relation to the Gravesend Fire Incident in 2023:
How many officers from the MPS are under investigation.
How many officers are suspended and or restricted because of this incident.
If officers are awaiting misconduct hearings how long before this takes place.
How much money has it cost the MPS to have these officers on restricted duties and why is it taking them so long to bring them to a misconduct board.
I have today decided to disclose the located information to you in full. Please find below information pursuant to your request above.
The information provided below relates to an incident we found from 2022 and not 2023.
Q1- How many officers from the MPS are under investigation.
There are 3 serving officers and 2 former officers under investigation.
Q2 - How many officers are suspended and or restricted because of this incident.
There are 3 officers on restricted duties and 2 officers are no longer serving.
Q3 - If officers are awaiting misconduct hearings how long before this takes place.
The hearing is scheduled to commence on the 6 May 2025 and details are on the MPS website.
