I would like to request the following information regarding the policing of the protest that took place on 8 February 2025(14:00-16:00) and 15 March 2025(15:00-17:00) outside Royal Mint Court, EC3N 4AB:
I have today decided to disclose the located information to you in full. Please find below information pursuant to your request above.
Q1- The total number of police officers deployed in relation to this protest.
Total Number for 8 February 2025 deployed for this event = 101 Officers
Total Number for 15 March 2025 deployed for this event = 485 Officers
Q2 - A breakdown of the total above into.
Regular duty officers (those who would have been on shift regardless of the protest); and
Additional reinforcement officers deployed specifically for the protest (officers brought in from other units, divisions, or mutual aid arrangements).
Officers will have been deployed from their base OCU/BCU’s to work on this event. There was no Mutual Aid on this event.
There were 2 officers on the 8 February who weren’t rostered to work who were deployed, and 11 on the 15 March.
Q3 - A breakdown of the ranks and roles of those deployed (e.g., constables, sergeants, public order officers, etc.).
Total Number for 8th February 2025 = 1 Chief Superintendent, 2 Chief Inspectors, 4 Inspectors, 12 Sergeants, 82 Constables
Total Number for 15 March 2025 = 21 Inspectors, 65 Sergeants, 399 Constables
Q4 - The total cost incurred by the police in relation to this protest, including but not limited to:
Officer pay and overtime.
Transport and logistics.
Equipment used.
Any mutual aid requested from other forces.
