Freedom of information request reference no: 01.FOI.25.043012
I note you seek access to the following information:
I would like to request the following information regarding your spend with Sopra Stera / Shared Services Connected.
Since 2018, Met Police has published invoices worth £379m with Sopra Steria / SSCL, however, there are no published contracts.
Please can you confirm the following details in relation to the contract(s) you hold with Sopra Steria:
1. For the period 2020-2024:
a) Annual spend breakdown by service tower (BPO, IT, Change)
b) Service credit/penalty amounts applied
c) Cost savings achieved through automation/self-service
d) How has Sopra Steria performed against the KPIs
I have today decided to disclose the located information to you in full. Please find below information pursuant to your request above.
It is important to clarify that the MPS does not have an active contract with Sopra Serta, which is a separate entity from Shared Services Connected Ltd (SSCL). However, the MPS does maintain a current contract with SSCL, meaning that the information provided below in response to your request pertains to SSCL rather than Sopra Serta.
Q1 - For the period 2020-2024:
a) Annual spend breakdown by service tower (BPO, IT, Change).
It is not possible to provide figures by service tower because spend is currently reported against a single cost centre and therefore this breakdown is not held by the MPS.
b) Service credit/penalty amounts applied
The MPS has not applied any service credits in FY 2024-25.
c) Cost savings achieved through automation/self service.
Through a range of improvement projects with the supplier, the MPS was able to achieve a saving of £3.2m in 2024-25.
d) How has Sopra Steria performed against the KPIs.
As stated, the MPS do not have a current contract with Sopra Serta and as such no information is held in respect of this question.
