Qa - How many data subject access requests received and accepted by the MPS in 2023 remain unfulfilled (i.e. the MPS has accepted the request but has not yet provided the requested data to the data subject).
76 first stage ROAs received in 2023 are still open.
Qb - How many data subject access requests received and accepted by the MPS in 2024 remain unfulfilled.
3782 first stage ROAs received in 2024 are still open.
Qc - From the population of all data subject access requests accepted by the MPS, please state the date of acceptance of the data subject access request that has remained unfulfilled for the longest period of time, (i.e. the most aged data subject access request).
The oldest ROA was received on 15 June 2023.
Please note in 2023 the MPS received 20,865 Right of Access requests (up 52% from the previous year). In 2024 there was a further increase in demand with 21,101 requests being received. We are working hard to recover our position around our oldest requests, whilst equally improving our timeliness of response to new requests.
