Freedom of information request reference no: 01.FOI.25.043177
I note you seek access to the following information:
Please would you be able to advise of whether your force offers DAM (Domestic Abuse Matters) training to any external organisations, or whether this is reserved for in -house provision for force control, PCs and SPCs or similar.
I have today decided to disclose the located information to you in full. Please find below information pursuant to your request above.
DA Matters is an external product that is delivered by external partners, (e.g. Safe Lives Domestic Abuse Matters - Training for police /SafeLives / Women’s Aid)
This is not something we deliver outwards. The College of Policing have provided licences for forces to receive the training from an outside provider and, if required, become qualified trainers to continue to deliver DA Matters within their own police force (not externally). The MPS had DA Matters training in 2020 - 2021, but we did not opt for the qualified trainer options, so we do not currently deliver DA Matters within the MPS. However there is training on Domestic Abuse (tailored to the MPS) being deliver later this year to Frontline Officers.
