Data for workforce budget and size from 2000 to 2024

I note you seek access to the following information:
Monthly data is no longer a priority. Instead, do you have data covering a much longer time period, ideally from 2000 to 2024 or even earlier? Additionally, do you have information at the borough level instead of the BCU level? I need police budget and police force size data with a long observation period (10+ years) at the local authority level to work with the data.
On a separate note, and purely speculatively, I also wanted to ask if there is any data or information on changes in policing philosophy or programs within each BCU unit. For example, SE BCU Newham focuses on hotspot policing, etc. If not are there any contacts you recommend I could interview to find this data.

We will certainly hold information but this is a large request under FOIA, as every borough will have different priorities that change at different points. It would be financially prohibitive to attempt to collate this information across all boroughs for even a short period. There are also no contacts for interview on this subject. Yes, but I would like this data disaggregated - broken down to borough level (or BCU if not available - don't worry if for some years there are borough only and BCU only of others)
