1. What is the job role and rank of the person that is in charge of the unit.
2. What is the job role of EOD officers called.
3. Is it just civilians or is there police officers in the unit.
4. How many times in 2024 were the unit called out.
5. Does the met do in house training or are the officers already trained from past experience.

Head of Unit SO15 EOD, Band S. Please note, this is a Police Staff post.

Q2 - What is the job role of EOD officers called.

Explosives Officer, Metropolitan Police Service.

Q3 - Is it just civilians or is there police officers in the unit.

EOD Unit contains a mixture of Police Officers and Police Staff.

Q4 - How many times in 2024 were the unit called out.

900 times.

Q5 - Does the met do in house training or are the officers already trained from past experience.
