What command does the flying squad belong to and what is the parent unit of the Specialist, Organized & Economic Crime Command and what units are in the SOECC

Please find below information pursuant to your request above.

Both the Flying Squad and Economic Crime sit under Central Specialist Crime and have done since the 2017 remodel

Under Central Specialist Crime we have the following strands –

  • Cyber Crime
  • Economic Crime
  • Flying Squad
  • Vulnerability
  • Online Child Sexual Abuse Exploitation (OCSAE)
  • Major Inquiries

The MPS does not have a unit known as the Specialist, Organised and Economic Crime Command.
