Freedom of information request reference no: 01.FOI.25.045734
I note you seek access to the following information:
I have today decided to disclose the located information to you in full. Please find below information pursuant to your request above.
The information is provided in calendar years.
The information provided below has been generated from the following databases:
Crime Report Information System (CRIS) and CONNECT.
CRIS is an electronic management system that records criminal offences on crime reports, where actions related to a crime investigation can be documented.
CONNECT is an integrated core policing solution, which replaces eight of our existing data capture systems with one connected system
The data below has also been sourced via our VRR SPOC (Single Point of Contact) network from each MPS Basic Command Unit and a database called Single Online Home where the applications are made via an online portal. The online portal went live late February 2022 which is why the totals for April 2021 until end of March 2022 are low. Prior to the online portal all applications were made was via direct email. As advised to you on 04/08/2025, we are unable to locate, retrieve and collate this information within the FOIA cost / research threshold due to the correspondence being in the thousands, consisting of initial applications, follow up emails and officers making general contact. You agreed that the data that we can provide within the cost / research threshold would suffice.
It is pertinent to note that although the email applications were not recorded prior to the online platform, we still had a structure in place to monitor VRR’s meeting the criteria. In short, we did not tally applications that did not meet the criteria, only ones that did meet the criteria and this data is below.
Q1- Can you please provide me with the following information for each of the three most recent years that you hold data for (i.e, calendar years 2022, 2023, 2024 or financial years 2022-23, 2023-24, 2024-25):
