Guidance for Police Officers to manage potential rioting in the Capital

I note you seek access to the following information:

Any information you may have from the Home Office or from the PMs office on how to manage potential rioting in the Capital as there does appear to be favouritism from the Police towards the Counter Protesters or the antifa.

Also, please confirm that you received instructions to move Police Officers to Epping in Essex to support Essex Police due to rioting following an alleged sexual assault on a local woman by an illegal migrant living in the local migrant hotel.

Also, please provide evidence of the Counter protesters being transported in, either by the Met Police, Essex Police or any other force for that matter. There is potentially video evidence to support this claim.

Decision

I have today decided to disclose the located information to you in full. Please find below information pursuant to your request above.

Q1- Any information you may have from the Home Office or from the PMs office on how to manage potential rioting in the Capital as there does appear to be favouritism from the Police towards the Counter Protesters or the antifa.

This information is not held by the MPS. The MPS is operationally independent.

Q2 - Also, please confirm that you received instructions to move Police Officers to Epping in Essex to support Essex Police due to rioting following an alleged sexual assault on a local woman by an illegal migrant living in the local migrant hotel.

Policing operates a system of mutual aid where forces can call on support of other police forces from time to time. Essex Police made a request for support from a number of police forces, including the MPS. The MPS then sent resources to support Essex.

Q3 - Also, please provide evidence of the Counter protesters being transported in, either by the Met Police, Essex Police or any other force for that matter. There is potentially video evidence to support this claim.

The MPS did not drive protesters into the area around the hotel. Where MPS vehicles were used to transport protesters, it was only to safely remove them from the area. MPS officers and vehicles were deployed to Essex under the Essex Command structure.
