In a previous FOI Request you mentioned a new HR Team called the People Performance Improvement Team, so my questions are about this team specifically.
I have today decided to disclose the located information to you in full. Please find below information pursuant to your request above.
Q1 - Does MO7 Taskforce have a People Performance Improvement Team (if not will they be getting one).
Yes, MO7 receive support from the HR People Performance Improvement Team (PPIT). This is a shared service between six Met Operations Command Units, so is not dedicated to MO7 specifically.
Q1.1 - What ranks/roles will be in this PPIT for the Taskforce OCU specifically.
The team consists of one Band B Senior HR Business Advisor and two Band C HR Business Advisors across the six Command Units.
Q2 - Can you provide a full breakdown of ranks/roles within the People Performance Improvement Team (please list the highest to lowest rank/role and please specify if the rank/role is command/supervisor position (i.e. - Manager - Senior Leadership, Team Lead - Supervisor etc).
1 x Head of PPIT - Broadband Level 3
21 x Senior HR Business Advisors - Band B
25 x HR Business Advisors - Band C
Q3 - Please provide the exact purpose of the PPIT and how they will be assisting B/OCUs.
An intranet article dated 09 November 2023 titled Deliver HR that’s more local to you - People Performance Improvement Teams addresses this part of your request for information. I have copied the relevant section of this article below:
After a successful pilot, People Performance Improvement Teams (PPITs) will be rolled out across BCUs and some OCUs to provide more local HR support
We’ve heard – directly from you and via Baroness Casey’s review – that the HR support we provide feels too remote from you and the work you do. You’ve told us that some HR processes are too complex, too time consuming and take you away from the frontline. So we have piloted a new, more local and bespoke HR service, based within our B/OCUs, working alongside senior leadership teams. Across the last five months members of HR – People Performance Improvement Teams (PPITs) have been based within North Area BCU, South East BCU and Met Detention.
