Ulez camera crimes since April 2023

I note you seek access to the following information:

Please can you release the following information:

  1. The number of crimes reported, related to Ultra Low Emissions Zone (ULEZ) cameras since 1 April 2023.
  2. A sample of the types of crimes reported (i.e. vandalism, damage, arson).
  3. The number of arrests made and charges brought related to ULEZ camera crimes, since 1 April 2023.
  4. The number of convictions secured relating to ULEZ camera crimes in that period.

I have today decided to disclose the located information to you in full.

Please find below spreadsheet for questions 1 and 2 titled ‘Final - 2024.06 ULEZ Crime Report - June 2024’.

With regards to question 3 - There have been 7 offences with an arrest, including 1 suspect arrested for 3 offences. Of those 7 offences, there have been 4 charges (including the lone suspect for 3 offences), and one offence still pending.

For question 4 – The information you have requested is not held by the MPS.
Please note that the police service is responsible for the investigation of offences however the subsequent prosecution - and potentially a conviction - would be a matter for the Crown Prosecution Service.
