I note you seek access to the following information:

How many seized dogs were kennelled by Met Police in the calendar years of 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024?

How much did kennelling of these dogs costs in calendar years on 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024.

Clarification - we discussed your request for information. I explained that I have the data requested with the exception of dogs seized between April 2023 and September 2023. You confirmed that this part of your request could be discounted.

London Assembly Website: Kennelling costs - 2018 to 2022 (Calendar Year)

Please note that due to the budgetary cycle, kennelling costs are currently collated in financial year format. The figures below reflect kennelling and veterinary care costs in financial years April 2022 to March 2023, April 2023 to March 2024 and April 2024 to March 2025 up to the 31 August 2024. The figures for financial year April 2024 to March 2025 are accurate as of the 6 September 2024 and do not include invoices not yet received for the financial year to date.

Financial Year April 2022 to March 2023 = £1,372,899.51
Financial Year April 2023 to March 2024 = £1,763,150.44
Financial Year to Date April 2024 to March 2025 (31 August 2024) = £1,199,356.28
