Public Order arrests from January 2017 to July 2024

I note you seek access to the following information:

In line with your advice on refining our request, we would be grateful if you could provide the custody records for arrests under sections 12 and 14 of the Public Order Act 1986 alongside the age grouping of the persons arrested, the gender of the persons arrested and the ethnicity of the persons arrested.

Please could you provide the requested information for both of the following time periods:

• January 2017 to May 2022; and
• May 2022 to July 2024

Please could you also provide the custody records for arrests under (i) s.78 Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Act 2022 and (ii) the Public Order Act 2023 alongside, in each case, the age grouping of the persons arrested, the gender of the persons arrested and the ethnicity of the persons arrested.

Clarification - I wrote to you by email and stated:
This notice is to inform you that the MPS are unable to proceed with your request as we require further information from you. You have provided the dates January 2017 – May 2022 and May 2022 – July 2024 as the periods for which data is sought. Do you require:

1. Data for 1 January 2017 to 30 April 2022 and 1 May 2022 to 31 July 2024
   Or
2. Data for 1 January 2017 to 31 May 2022 and 1 May 2022 to 31 July 2024

Clarification - you responded to my email by stating:

Please provide the data for 1 January 2017 to 28 June 2022 and 29 June 2022 to 31 July 2024.

Please note that we have amended the dates from our previous request in order to be more accurate. These dates are now the correct ones to use.
