A snap shot of constables holding Acting or Temp PS/DS roles was taken as at 31 August 2024.
Please note: Officers can act up for a shift and Officers can bank acting up periods and then claim in one go.

Q3 - How Many Constables do you currently have on a select list awaiting promotion? And what is the longest wait a constable has had on the select list from passing the promotion process to the current date.
Please see the following answer to question three of your request:
Select lists run for 12-18 months, with only those officers whose promotion is on hold (e.g. while an investigation is ongoing) remaining on the Select List for a longer time. These officers once promoted will have their promotion back dated. There are 315 PC and 66 DC remaining on the select list awaiting promotion and posting to PS/DS – all come from the 2023 Promotion process and have been on the select list for under 12 months.
