Freedom of information request reference no: 01.FOI.24.036937
I note you seek access to the following information:
I have today decided to disclose the located information to you in full. Please find below information pursuant to your request above.
Q1 - What is the procedure when an officer is exposed to potentially contagious fluids on duty (e.g. bitten, spat at, needle injuries).
Officers and Staff are advised to attend Guys and St Thomas (GSTT) OH department Monday to Friday between the hours of 9-5. Out of hours they can attend A&E at Guys or the nearest A&E to them.
Q2 - I believe the answer to the above is that they can be blue-lighted to St Thomas' Hospital for checks. Is that correct.
Please see answer to the above question.
Q2a - Please provide a copy of this agreement between the Met and St Thomas's Hospital.
The Metropolitan Police Service do not hold this information. This is because the MET has no direct contract with GSTT and that service is provided as part of an outsourced Occupational Health contract between Optima Health and GSTT
Q2b - How much (if anything) does the Met pay for this service.
Please see answer to the above question regarding contracts.
