FLPDU has confirmed that there is a redesign going forward with involves a new team looking at Knife and Acquisitive crime. However, this is still in its early stages. At this moment in time the MPS have a lead responsible officer that oversees the Strategic Direction of Knife Crime Policy, who sits within the Frontline Policing Delivery unit. Please note intensive 4P plans for prevention & reduction of knife crime have been created by every Borough Command Unit (BCU) within the MPS which have individual BCU commanders as the owners of those plans.
