Does Metropolitan Police use a Hybrid Mail service?
The MPS does not utilise a Hybrid Mail service and would not be in a position to do so based on the legal requirements for service under which the Authority operates.
The MPS has two main elements for mail services – franking services and the provision of postage stamps.
Who is the current provider of this, or other postal services?
The current provider of the MPS’s postal services are via a franking postal contract with Pitney Bowes (as part of our wider Banner Contract) and Royal Mail
Banner fulfil the MPS Franking services via Pitney Bowes and sell us Postage stamps.
When is the contract up for review?
The Contract review is 31 March 2027
