Freedom of information request reference no: 01.FOI.24.037296
I note you seek access to the following information:
I have today decided to disclose the located information to you in full.
Please find below information pursuant to your request above.
Q1 - The amount of funding given yearly from the inception of "Project Evergreen" in 2022 to the day this request is processed.
Zero. This is not funded and has been Business As Usual for Tactical and Policy Advisers within FLDPU. Also, it is ‘Operation Evergreen’ not ‘Project Evergreen’.
Q2 - An answer to whether the Metropolitan Police is currently following Project Evergreen - if not, reasoning towards why the strategy has ended.
Operation Evergreen is the strategic response to Sex Work and as of today, is still in place.
Q3 - The number of victims accessing support to exit prostitution yearly from the inception of Project Evergreen to the day this request is processed.
This information requested is not held by the MPS. This is not recorded on police systems.
It is also important to note that ‘exit from prostitution’ is not something that Operation Evergreen (or policing more generally) has ownership of and this question would need to be directed at other agencies.
Q4 - The number of Metropolitan Police staff dedicated to Project Evergreen yearly, from the inception of Project Evergreen to the day this request is processed.
One dedicated PC working on this full time, with oversight from an Inspector and Detective Sergeant (who each dedicate 30% of their time to Op Evergreen as they have other responsibilities).
