Q1 - Number of Forensic Collision Investigators (FCI) employed at the end of 2023.
At the end of 2023, a total of 30 FCIs were employed. (Please note that this does not translate to active FCIs as it includes those in training, those abstracted due to sick leave, etc).
Q2 - Number of FCI posts that were approved but vacant at the end of 2023.
At the end of 2023, 6 Front line FCIs & 1 FCI qualified supervisor posts were approved but vacant.
Q3 - Number of fatal collisions investigated by FCIs in 2023
In 2023, a total of 94 fatal collisions were investigated by FCIs.
Q4 - Number of non fatal collisions investigated by FCIs in 2023.
In 2023, a total of 107 non-fatal collisions were investigated by FCIs.
Q5 - Number of non-fatal collisions attended by FCIs in 2023.
In 2023, a total of 76 non-fatal collisions were attended by FCIs.
Q6 - Total number of non-fatal collisions investigated by the Serious Collision Investigation Unit in 2023.
