Q2 - How many murder and manslaughter cases are linked to the chemsex context
In relation to the context of Chemsex there have been 11 people convicted of murder and 2 of manslaughter. Some of those convicted we know are serial killers, there are 16 victims.
Q3 - How many suspected chemsex context deaths are there in London in 2023
There were 34 deaths that are suspected of being linked to the chemsex context in London in 2023.
The Met is committed to building trust with LGBT+ victims and doing more to support them and keep them safe.
We understand there are many sensitivities and concerns around recreational drug taking, particularly in the context of the chemsex scene.
We continue to work with culturally sensitive partners, including the charities Galop and Antidote at London Friend, as well as experts within the health sector, so we can make sure the best people are accessible to those who seek support.
