I note you seek access to the following information:

1. Has the official protocol you follow for stalking reports changed in the last 5 years?

2. How many reports of stalking did the force receive in 2021, 2022 and 2023?

3. Of these stalking reports, how many reports have resulted in further action, like an arrest, conviction or restraining orders, if this data is available

4. How many Stalking Protection Orders (SPOs) have been sought by your force in 2021, 2022 and 2023?

Q1 - Has the official protocol you follow for stalking reports changed in the last 5 years?

As far as the Met Frontline Policing Delivery Unit Headquarters are aware, there have been no major changes, outside of changes to Home Office Crime Recording Rules (HOCR) etc.

Q2 - How many reports of stalking did the force receive in 2021, 2022 and 2023?

Please find below a spreadsheet in which the requested information has been provided.

Q3 - Of these stalking reports, how many reports have resulted in further action, like an arrest, conviction or restraining orders, if this data is available.

The data shows:

• Number of Arrests where detainee was taken to MPS Custody Suite.

INFORMATION
Please note that the police service is responsible for the investigation of offences, however the subsequent prosecution - and potentially a conviction - would be a matter for the Crown Prosecution Service.
