I have today decided to disclose the located information to you in full.

Please find below information pursuant to your request above.

As of 31 December 2023 the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) had 2595 Authorised Firearms Officers.

We are unable to provide the exact number for 20 January 2024 because the number of Authorised Firearms Officers are collated at the end of each month.
