- How many PCSOs have been recruited in the past year?
- How many of these PCSOs have since left?
- How many PCSOs altogether have left in the past year?
- What reasons are given when PCSOs leave the role?

Information caveats
Please note that the Leavers report that has been used for this FOIA contains both ‘Original’ start date and ‘Latest’ start date. If there was a difference between the two then HR used the latest start date for this.
Q1 - How many PCSOs have been recruited in the past year?

17 PCSOs have a Start Date in 2023 and have a Termination Date up to 22 Feb 2024.
10 have a Termination Date in 2023.
7 have a Termination Date in 2024.
caveat
8 PCSOs have a Start Date in 2023 and have the same Start Date and Termination Date - Please note HR have checked the PSOP accounts for the 8 PSCOs with the same start date and termination date. There is nothing on these PSOP accounts to clarify the reasoning but our assumption would be that these PCSOs did not arrive for their first day.
Q3 - How many PCSOs altogether have left in the past year?
130 PCSOs have a Termination Date in 2023, counting any Start Date.
8 PCSOs have a Termination Date in 2023 and have the same Start Date and Termination Date.
Q4 - What reasons are given when PCSOs leave the role?
The below table shows a count of leaving reasons recorded on PSOP.
