I am making this request to gain information on MO7s new Surge Team.

Q1) Can you provide the full rank structure for this new unit?

Q2) Are these new teams based out of TSG bases or do they use traffic garages as well?

Q3) How many of these Surge Teams are currently operating?

Q4) Can you confirm if the MO7 OCU Commander (chief superintendent) is in charge of this unit or if a separate chief superintendent oversees it?

Information on MO7s new Surge Team.

Q1 - Can you provide the full rank structure for this new unit?

1 - Chief Inspector
4 - Inspectors
17 - Sergeants
99 - Police Constables

This is supplemented with 23 Special Constables.

Q2 - Are these new teams based out of TSG bases or do they use traffic garages as well?

The unit are based out of four traffic garages, three of these sites are also TSG bases.

Q3 - How many of these Surge Teams are currently operating?

4 teams are currently operating.

Q4 - Can you confirm if the MO7 OCU Commander (chief superintendent) is in charge of this unit or if a separate chief superintendent oversees it?

The MO7 OCU Commander has command of these teams.
