The police shooting incident on the 8 May 2023 in Poplar leading to the unnecessary death by gunshots to two dogs, that were on leads has never been fully explained.
The "official" report describes the dogs as aggressive, however multiple bystanders described the animals as docile.
Indeed, the photo of the coup de gras shows one dead dog and the other actively cowering while one of your officers aims a shotgun at it.
I have today decided to disclose the located information to you in full.

Q1 - Has this incident been independently investigated?
On 11 May 2023, the MPS referred two complaints it had received, from individuals who had witnessed the incident, to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) who determined they required independent investigation.
Q2 - Has the police person involved in the killings been disciplined/removed from firearms duty?
The officers involved remain on operational duty.
Q3 - Were all the eyewitnesses lying or what your report incorrect?
The owner of the dogs pleaded guilty to owning two dangerously out of control dogs and was sentenced to 14 weeks in prison, suspended for 12 months.
