There is a requirement in the Surveillance Camera Commissioner's Code of Practice to have human intervention before a computerised facial recognition identification is used to stop a person or make an arrest. What training do they receive.
Section 2.4 states: Any use of facial recognition or other biometric characteristic recognition systems needs to be clearly justified and proportionate in meeting the stated purpose and be suitably validated. It should always involve human intervention before decisions are taken that affect an individual adversely.
