I would like to know what follow up the Metropolitan Police are taking regarding the release of information from an alleged Confidential file. What investigation has taken place to discover how the Mail accessed this file and who passed it on to them?

Answer: The MPS is not aware of how this report has allegedly entered the public domain.
What investigation has taken place to discover how the Mail accessed this file and who passed it on to them?
Answer: The MPS is not currently investigating whether any material connected to the Sandra Rivett inquiry has entered the public domain. The inquiry into the death of Sandra Rivett remains open. Anyone with information that can assist our investigation should contact the Metropolitan Police on 101, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
