Data on Police Officers passing their vetting

I note you seek access to the following information:

This should all be for the five years up to the date of your reply.

1. What proportion of police officers vetted during the recruitment process passed the vetting process.
2. What proportion of a) white b) black c) Asian d) Arab e) Chinese f) Indian g) mixed white and black h) mixed black and Asian i) non-white officers passed the vetting process.
3. Please note: for the second request regarding the ethnic background of the individuals, please provide all the information you have regarding each ethnicity, and the non-white statistic as well.

Clarification:
In regards to your third question when you state 'provide all information you have regarding each ethnicity', please explain what you mean by 'all information'.

In terms of your question, i am just asking for all the data regarding to race/ethnicity. Ie if the police force gathers information on the staff who are mixed black and white, or mixed black and Asian, you should include that data too.

However please note this does not include appeals whereby any potential officer failed their initial vetting then passed on appeal.

In the past 5 years 88.6% of those applying to become a Police Officer passed their vetting.
