Q1 - How are applicants qualifications vetted within the MPS and how soon after submitting them are they verified?
The requirement to provide evidence of qualifications varies by role type. Whilst (where required) candidates will provide such evidence, i.e., a GCSE Certificate, we are not required under our contractual agreement to vet/verify this evidence.
Q2 - How long is data such as qualification and personal details held by the MPS for once the applicant has withdrawn their application before starting any training.
There is an in principle agreement that personal data is held for 1 year, and non-personal data for 5 years. Non personal data means the candidate information is anonymised.
