Q1 - Between September 2019 and March 2024, how many times have the Met Police changed the computer system for logging and tracing seized property?
There have been two changes between September 2019 and March 2024.
In September 2019, the MPS were using the ‘ePMS’ system (evidential Property Management System) for recording and tracing exhibits. From mid-November 2022 this then changed to ‘CONNECT’.
Q2 - From September 2019 until it partly burnt down, did Forest Gate Police station have a separate/ independent computer system for seized property?
No. As per our response to your question 1, Forest Gate Police Station would have been using the e-PMS system from September 2019 until the change to CONNECT in 2022. Both systems are interlinked between all Local Criminal Exhibits Stores (LCES).
Q3 - Over the entire history of the Metropolitan Police, what is the biggest ever seizure of meth?
This information is not held by the MPS. Seizures of crystal meth are not mapped in detail. When seizures are made a record is kept but the information is not collated and information in relation to weight etc. cannot be extracted from our systems.
