I note you seek access to the following information:

Would you please provide the following information in respect of Police Officer promotions and lengths of service covering, if possible, each the last five years:

a) the number of applicants for promotion from Constable to Sergeant each year, analysed by gender;
b) the number of officers promoted from Constable to Sergeant each year, analysed by gender, giving their average length of service as a Constable and average age on promotion;
c) the number of applicants for promotion from Sergeant to Inspector each year analysed by gender;
d) the the number of officers promoted from Sergeant to Inspector each year, analysed by gender, giving their average length of service as a Sergeant and average age on promotion;
e) the average length of service for officers of all ranks before leaving the service for whatever reason.
