Freedom of information request reference no: 01.FOI.23.034375
I note you seek access to the following information:
Could you let me know the total size of Public Protection Teams within the Metropolitan Police for each of the last 15 years please?
I have today decided to disclose the located information to you in full.
Please find below information pursuant to your request above.
I have been advised that Public Protection has only existed in its current form for the approximately four years, during which times its scope has varied. There are currently thirteen different thematic streams within public protection and over the last fifteen years have either not existed, been part of other departments or been sited in different areas across the MPS.
Additionally, the numbers of officers on these units vary from month to month and as such it is not possible to provide you with an accurate number/size for these teams.
