DPS - Employment Reference Guidance

I note you seek access to the following information:

I am in possession of the following information that the MPS Directorate of Professional Standards hold a guidance document about the provision of references.

"The Reference SOP was decommissioned some time ago. DPS hold a guidance document within the DPS Management Support on the completion of Employment References. This guidance dictates that officers/staff who have been served with a Form 163 whereby the conduct matter has been initially assesses as Gross Misconduct should have the fact they are subject to an ongoing conduct matter documented on an Employment Reference response."

This document is potentially unlawful and I would like to see a copy to assess its legality.

Please supply a copy of the guidance document relating to the provision of references that is held in the DPS Management Support Unit.
