Q1 - Please provide the number of officers who make up the crime management unit or victim focus desk
Crime Management Services currently are made up of 166 staff (officers and staff) spread across three teams.
This does not include the staff working on specialist teams within the CMS (this is roughly 66).
There are between 22-28 staff and officers who operate the VFD on week days.
This number is due to be uplifted later this year.
Q2 - as well as the date that it was established
CMS began in April 2017.
Q3 - and what might have preceded it.
Borough Crime Management Units (CMU) were the model prior to CMS.
