To whomever it may concern I am inquiring about UK police at the euros 2024 in Germany.
There are a few questions I have which I would like to be answered
1.Which police forces send officers to the euros?
2.Why is it only British police officers that get sent to the euros?
3.What jurisdiction do British police officers have in Germany and are they able to make arrests?
4.Do they wear British police uniform if so does that not impersonate a police officer in Germany?
5.How do offices travel to and from Germany and who pays for them?
6.Do they get paid whilst managing the fans at euro games?
7.How are British police officers briefed on German laws or European laws that they may not be familiar with?
8.Do they only manage English fans or the opposition as well?

Please find below information pursuant to your request above.
To locate the information relevant to your request searches were conducted within MO6 Public Order. The searches located information relevant to questions 1 & 3 (in regards to MPS only), 4, part of 5 and 6 your request.
The MPS failed to locate information relevant to questions 2, part of 5, 7 and 8 your request, therefore, the information you have requested is not held by the MPS.
Q1 - Which police forces send officers to the Euros?
The MPS attended. No further information held. The United Kingdom Football Policing Unit (UKFPU can advise on other forces.
Q3 - What jurisdiction do British police officers have in Germany and are they able to make arrests?
None. No further information is held. UKFPU can advise you further.
Q4 - Do they wear British police uniform if so does that not impersonate a police officer in Germany?
They do not wear British uniform.
Q5 - How do officers travel to and from Germany and who pays for them?
Via standard routes. No further information is held. The UKFPU can advise on costing as this is not a MPS funded operation.
Q6 - Do they get paid whilst managing the fans at euro games?
Yes, as part of normal employment.
