Staffing stats in CPIE from January 2020 to February 2024

Please find the below FOI request for information,
We are aware that the CPIE department has changed (or still in the process of).

1. Please prove details of all overtime claimed in CPIE (Professionalism) (Culture, Diversity & Inclusion ) between January 2020 – February 2024, please break down in years and Police Officer rank, and Police Staff grade.
2. How many Outreach Roles are there currently in the MPS, please list by department and rank / Police Staff grade
3. What was or is the cost of all outreach staff & Police Officers in Professionalism? Between January 2020 – February 2024, please break down in years and rank or Police Staff grade
4. How many agency staff were / are employed in Professionalism or CPIE or Culture, Diversity & Inclusion departments between the following dates –
   January 2020 – February 2024, please break this down to years, and grades, and costings on each year.
5. How many staff officers are there currently within Professionalism or CPIE or CDI? And what is the overtime spend for those able to claim, between January 2020 – February 2024.

I have today decided to disclose the located information to you in full.

Regarding question’s 1 and 3.

The figures have been derived by running Payroll reports for the relevant financial years.

For Question 5. I have not provided any data as Staff Officers are a grade above Sergeants hence do not incur Overtime.

Regarding questions 2, 4 and 5.

The central HR system has only identified the Central Outreach Team since 2022 and are within Professionalism.

I have included tables (Question 2), showing these Central Outreach Team by Rank and Band.

Please note there are Outreach officers on BOCU’s who also have other duties as part of their day to day role, these officers are part of the numbers shown in the data table.

There are also currently 9 Band C Police staff coordinators on BOCU’s, these Band C’s are shown in the data table.

I have combined Question 4 and 5 on the spreadsheet. The re-shuffle happened this FY CPIE moved to Frontline Policing from Professionalism.

From 2020 to 2023 different level 4 departments appeared, as each departments changed from year to year due to re-structuring.
